Optimizing Temperature in the Baby's Room
Note
Note
The recommended temperature is 22–23 degrees Celsius in the baby’s room, and 24–26 degrees Celsius in the bathroom.
Heating the baby’s room
The safest appliances for heating rooms are radiators and air conditioning. Spiral and gas heaters may be dangerous and might cause clothes or accessories to catch fire. It is crucial to adhere to the following safety guidelines when using a heating appliance:
- Keep a window open: when using a heating appliance, keep a window slightly open to maintain room ventilation.
- Maintain humidity: to maintain room humidity when using a heating appliance, put a bowl of water in the room or spread a wet towel (not on top of the heating appliance, of course).
- Ventilate the room regularly: even during the winter, make sure to take the baby out of the room at least once a day and ventilate the room.
- Keep flammable objects away: avoid positioning heating appliances close to flammable objects, such as the baby’s bed, blankets, curtains, or sofas. Additionally, do not leave flammable objects near heating appliances.
Cooling the baby’s room
It is recommended to use air conditioning or a ventilator. It is important to ensure that the appliance does not face the baby directly so that the baby will not catch a cold.
