Rehabilitation & Mobility Devices

If you are coping with a physical disability, you may be eligible to subsidization of rehabilitation and mobility devices through your HMO. The amount of the deductible is based on the Ministry of Health’s fixed price list.

Two types of devices are granted with no deductible: 

• Prosthetic eyes 
• Breast prosthesis (up to the established limit) 

The assistance will be provided to anyone with a permanent disability. Eligibility will not be granted for a temporary disability or to anyone eligible for assistance from other parties. The application for a rehabilitation or mobility device must be directed to the family physician or to the nursing staff in the insuring HMO.
